My Mama
She's mostly kind and gentle,
But please don't make her mad.
I promise you if you do
You'll wish you never had.
She may look like a little ole' lady,
Some one you can boss around.
But don't make that mistake ,
She'll hit you with a frying pan.
She has a very selective memory,
She only remembers what she wants too,
She locked up all the bad one's
And threw away the key'.
She'll tell you when her kids were growing up
They were very well behaved.
We always did what we were told.
I'm glad she didn't get it on video.
She thinks a burned out light bulb
Is a major catastrophe.
Throw in a leaky faucet
And "Oh, woe is me"
She'll call up all the kids and
Tell them she must have help,
Her troubles are to many and
She can't handle them by herself.
So she's come to live with me now,
And I really am glad.
I don't want her to be lonely,
I don't want her to be sad.
I think she's happier now than
She ever would admit.
I just hope that some how
She'll learn to be content.
