A New Life

Your world is a safe, warm place
Living in a big new brick house
Driving a big fancy car
Wearing diamonds and furs
Children running about
Life is good
Love is great
Happiness is wonderful
Marriage is fullfillng

You wake up one morning
All is lost,so it seems
The man you loved is gone
off to pursue their future
Your world is now a
bleak and lonely place
Life is meaningless, so it seems
What will you do
Where will you go
You're scared, lost and alone
The years have all faded away
God help us, find our way
For I am lost and alone
I need you to light my way again.

Now stands an apartment,
where a home once stood
No need for diamonds and furs
Is there a place for me?
Where will it be?
God has given me a new life now,
to begin again.
He has given me the strength, to carry on
Don't look back, to what might have been
Think about tomorrow, and starting over again.
Have faith, and a new life will begin
Look up to heaven, and thank him
To have the strength, to start over again

Never lose hope
When ever you fall,
pick yourself up again
Dust yourself off,
and begin again
Be strong, and love will find you
Happiness is in your hands
Be thankful, for what you had
And start over again
