Day to Day

Do you always feel
Like all you do is work

Not to mention, just sleep and eat
Living from day to day
Having never enough

Working so hard,
With nothing to show
Just stop and think

Look at the lady on the street
With no home
No shoes on her feet
Begging for food
As she holds her sign
With nothing but
A little dog at her side

She has no job
No home to go to each day
No bed room to sleep in
No blankets to keep
Her warm at night

All she has is that little dog,
Walking by her side

I see her each day
As I go on my way

I'm beginning to see my life
Isn't so meaningless after all

I thank God each day
I have a good job
A home to come to
With a warm bed and
A little dog at my side
