Mistakes

We make mistakes along the way
What do we do, what do we say
There is no easy way out
For we will have to pay
There are many reasons,
for what we do
But less are the answers

Do we ask ourselves
Why have we made these mistakes
Do we try to change them
Or do we move along day by day
Forgetting the mistakes,
we've made along the way

If we would just stop and say
I have made this mistake
Do we try to change them
Or do we move along,
forgetting the mistakes,
we've made along the way

Did I learn anything
by making the same mistakes twice

If I lead you, will you follow
and learn from my mistakes
along the way
