A Mother's Pain

Let me cry for you
I would give my life for you

When you hurt
My pain is more
But all in vain

As we go through life
All I know is I love you more,
than ever before

In ageing, I can see
All you have meant to me

I never knew the extent,
Of my love, for you

As I grew to be a mother
I understand exactly what
A mothers love can be

When your children hurt
You feel such pain
Almost feeling shame

Never knowing,
As my mother hurts
I would feel her pain

Lord, if you would
Just ease her pain
Make her be all better again

My life would be so lonely and blue
If I had to live my life without you

I'm sending all my love
With hugs and kisses too
To god, I pray
Make you all better and brand new

Ann Taylor
