" To Be A Mom"

Expect the unexpected and hold on tight.
Keep your running shoes out
and an encyclopedia by your side.
You'll be amazed at the questions they come up with
There are no simple answers,
you just have to use your wits.
my little boy plays football on the pee wee team.
At the homecoming game
he gave away my diamond ring.
At first I was upset but then I said, now self
A ring can be replaced
but memories always last.
I'll look back years from now and
think of my son, that ring, and I'll laugh.
He loves to sing and sway like Elvis.
He sure knows how to strut,
puts his hands on his hips and
really thinks he's tough.
When I tell him that I love him he always says
I love you more.
He's the sunshine in my life,
the one that I adore.
